Being happy is something everybody strives for, but unfortunately there are a lot of people who go through life unhappily. A lot of people take life how it is. They see life as if it’s an event that everybody has to pass through.
There are a lot of elements that contribute to the fact that you can go through life happily.
But one thing is very important: you have to choose to be happy yourself. If you don’t then all these other things won’t make you really happy.
Don’t forget: every minute you’re having a bad mood, you lose 60 seconds of being happy.
Fully go for everything you do, and hold on to your principles and goals you’ve made for yourself without comparing yourself to others. Don’t try to be like others, but try to be a better version of yourself.
Pass time with people who give you an agreeable feeling, people who live in the same ‘atmosphere’ as you do. Social contacts should help you and shouldn’t keep making you unhappy or hurt you. Choose friends who bring you pride and joy. Don’t choose friends who are a downer to your mood.
If you succeed in appreciating what you have, so that you are happy with what’s there, then you have succeeded in a nice exercise. Be thankful for what you own and what you’ve achieved in life. It will lead to a feeling of accomplishment, a bigger feeling of joy in life.
Be positive, laugh at life, wake up with a smile and smile at people. Say it will be a magnificent day when waking up. By being positive towards yourself and others you will make other people happy too.
The balance between mind and body is important. Take good care of your body, so your emotions stay in balance. Your mind can cause stress, which can manifest itself through your body. Furthermore, health problems will frequently lead to emotional problems.
Honesty pays off! The first person you have to be honest to is to yourself, afterwards it’s the rest of the world. Life is much simpler if you’re honest towards yourself and others. It saves from a lot of trouble in the future.
Helping others gives great satisfaction. You can’t help everybody of course, it’s important to recognize that.
You can choose to be stuck in the past, but you can also choose to take action and go on in life, choose to be happy.
Every day is a new beginning and it’s important to make the best of each day.
